A metronome built for deliberate practice

This metronome uses the Web Audio clock, so clicks are scheduled with sample accuracy instead of drifting the way JavaScript timers do. Set subdivisions to hear eighths, triplets, or sixteenths inside the beat — the fastest way to expose rushing in shifts and string crossings.

How to practice with a metronome (without hating it)

Pick a passage, not a piece. Set the tempo where you can play it cleanly three times in a row — usually slower than feels dignified. Raise the tempo a few BPM at a time only after clean repetitions, and drop back when it breaks.
